Overview
Metaceutic is seeking a Lead Software Architect to drive the development and integration of our digital infrastructure, ensuring seamless interaction between web platforms, mobileapps, dashboards, and large-scale databases. As a core technology leader, you will design and implement a scalable, secure, and business-driven architecture that aligns with Metaceutic’s mission in personalized healthcare and microbiome analysis. This is a high-impact role, requiring a balance of technical expertise, business-oriented thinking, and strategic leadership to build and maintain digital assets that support data-driven health solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Architecture & System Design
- Design and oversee the architecture for our web platforms, mobile applications, dashboards, and AI-driven analytics systems.
- Ensure scalability and interoperability across all digital touchpoints, from customer applications to healthcare provider dashboards.
- Develop a microservices-based architecture to support seamless dataflow, integrations, and system performance optimization.
- Business-Oriented Technology Strategy
- Align software architecture with business goals, revenue models, and customer engagement strategies.
- Work closely with the product, AI, and business development teams to ensure that our digital ecosystem enhances service offerings and customer experiences.
- Identify and implement monetization opportunities within digitalplatforms, such as API-based data services or subscription models.
- Data Engineering & InfrastructureManagement
- Architect and manage large-scale databases, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and processing of microbiome and health data.
- Implement data pipeline strategies for AI-driven analytics, ensuring that data collected from users is securely processed and transformed into actionable insights.
- Ensure cloud infrastructure optimization, leveraging platforms like AWS,Azure, or Google Cloud for deployment, security, and performance.
- Full-Stack Development Leadership
- Oversee the development of customer-facing and B2B platforms, ensuring high-quality UI/UX, security, and performance.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership in frontend (React, Angular, Vue.js) and backend (Node.js, Python, FastAPI, Django) technologies.
- Build and maintain APIs that enable secure data exchange between NIOMI applications and external platforms.
- Security, Compliance & DataPrivacy
- Ensure that all digital assets comply with GDPR, HIPAA, and industry-leading security standards for handling sensitive health data.
- Implement encryption, authentication, and secure access protocols across all platforms.
- Design privacy-first architectures to ensure customers and healthcare partners maintain full control over their data.
- Leadership & Team Collaboration
- Lead and mentor the full-stack development and DevOps teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Work closely with data scientists, AI engineers, and bioinformaticians to integrate advanced analytics into our digital ecosystem.
- Define and enforce best practices for software development, DevOps, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Key Qualifications
- Technical Expertise
- Proven experience in architecting scalable software systems, preferably within digital health, AI-driven platforms, or data-intensive applications.
- Strong proficiency in cloud computing (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
- Hands-on experience with database engineering (PostgreSQL, MongoDB,BigQuery, or similar).
- Deep understanding of API development, data integration, and microservices architecture.
- Business & Product Focus
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of SaaS, B2B data platforms, and digital revenue models.
- Experience in healthtech, biotech, or AI-driven platforms is a plus.
- Security & Compliance
- Experience implementing data security standards and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Familiarity with privacy-preserving technologies and secure software development practices.
- Team Leadership & Strategic Thinking
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide software engineers, DevOps, and data teams.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with business, R&D, and AI teams to ensure seamless integration of software solutions.
- Experience in agile development methodologies and project managementtools (JIRA, Trello, etc.).
